QUEL TYPE DE LEDS DANS UNE AMPOULE À LED ?

Il existe en fait une multitude de types de LEDs sur le marché de nos jours.

Les ampoules à led peuvent ainsi être conçues et fabriquées avec des LEDs classiques ( celles que vous connaissez tous depuis des dizaines d'années en guise de témoin de veille dans nos appareils électriques), avec des LEDs classiques améliorée à angle large, avec des LEDs SMD ("Surface Mounting Device" que l'on traduit par "composant de surface"), avec des LEDs High Power ( haute puissance) qui elles même se déclinent en x versions différentes selon le fabricant (Nichia, CREE, Seoul, Osram, Philips, LG, Samsung, etc...), et avec des leds multichips appelées COB ( Chips On Board). Il faut donc déjà faire un peu le ménage parmis tous ces choix possibles. 

1.) Les ampoules à led équipées de LEDs classiques.

Les ampoules à led équipées de ce type de LEDs offrent en général des angles restreints de l'ordre de 15 à 30°, elles n'ont donc d'intérêt que dans les applications d'éclairage dirigé.

Exemple, l'éclairage d'un tableau sur un mur sans pour autant éclairer la totalité du mur. N'imaginez pas une seconde pouvoir éclairer une pièce à vivre avec ce type d'ampoules à led, à moins d'en disposer plusieurs au mètre carré. 

L'avantage principal, l'ampoule ne dégage pratiquement aucune chaleur et est une des seule à offrir un angle restreint si tel est votre souhait.

2.) Les ampoules à led équipées de LEDs classiques améliorées.

Les ampoules à led équipées de ce type de LEDs offrent en général une puissance lumineuse accrue et des angles larges de l'ordre de 100 à 140°, c'est l'un des meilleur rapport qualité/prix.

il s'agit donc d'une variante du modèle précédent mais dont la coupe, au sein de la LED et qui reçoit le chips lumineux, est améliorée pour obtenir un angle très large. L'intérêt de ce type de LED réside donc dans un angle large et dans des couts plus faibles puisque produites en énorme quantité de plusieurs centaines de milliards par an. 

Ampoule-leds.fr à ainsi développé énormément d'ampoules à led qui utilisent cette technologie car cela permet d'obtenir des prix de vente plus abordables que les modèles suivants. Ce type d'ampoules à led développe un minium de chaleur, en général de l'ordre de 45° soit tiède au toucher.

3.) Les ampoules à led équipées de LEDs SMD. ( Notre photo en haut )

Contrairement à ce qui se prétend sur certains sites émergeant dans le domaine du E-commerce, ce type de LEDs n'est en aucun cas une révolution ou une led nouvelle génération. 

La LED SMD existe depuis de nombreuses années mais en raison d'une procédure de soudage assez complexe on ne la trouvait pas à l'origine dans les ampoules à led alors que nous commercialisons des bandeaux à led équipés de LEDs SMD depuis 2006.

Il est important de préciser qu'il existe plusieurs types de LEDs SMD offrant des puissances très différentes. On trouve le plus souvent des LEDs SMD 0805 ( les plus petites), SMD 1210, SMD 3528, SMD 5050 ou 5060, voir des LEDs SMD 5630 sur lesquelles nous travaillons actuellement et qui offrent environ 47 lumens par led. 

Ce type d'ampoules à led chauffe un peu plus que les ampoules à led équipées de LEDs classiques car obtenir plus de puissance impose obligatoirement un dégagement de chaleur plus important néanmoins c'est sans commune mesure avec une ampoule incandescente ou halogène voir fluo compacte. 
L'ampoule à led équipée de LEDs SMD bien que chaude peut en règle générale toujours être prise à pleine main sans provoquer de brulure.

4.) Les ampoules à led équipées de LEDs High Power.

Sachez tout d'abord que si la technologie évolue, les LEDs de puissance ne représentent toujours qu'une infime partie des ventes d'ampoules à led.

En effet, ce sont les LEDs qui offrent le plus de lumière par rapport à la surface émettrice de la LED. Elles sont donc très puissantes mais aussi très chères ce qui implique qu'en général les ampoules à led équipées de LEDs High Power sont plus chères que les autres ampoules des catégories précédentes. 

Ce sont aussi les LEDs les plus difficile à contrôler car elles dégagent énormément de chaleur et bien souvent elles sont sous-alimentées pour ne pas risquer une destruction immédiate de la led. 

L'intéret pour le particulier est donc assez limité car l'ampoule est chère, elle chauffe et offre en général des angles assez faibles avoisinant le plus souvent les 50°. La température de l'ampoule qui bien que plus élevée que les ampoules à led équipées des types de led citées plus haut reste toujours largement inférieure à celle d'une ampoule halogène par exemple. Nous n'avons à notre connaissance jamais eut de remontées d'infos de nos clients qui confirmeraient qu'une personne s'est brulé avec ce type d'ampoules à led.

5.) Les ampoules à led équipées de LEDs COB.

Très peu ou pas encore utilisées, les LEDs COB ont les même avantages et inconvénients que les leds High Power mais on trouve très peu d'ampoules à led équipées de ce type de LEDs. Il s'agit en réalité de plusieurs petits chips lumineux disposé cote à cote pour former une led plus importante. 

La puissance lumineuse est donc élevée mais la chaleur induite ne permet pas une utilisation dans une petite ampoule standard car il n'y aurait pas assez d'espace ou de matière pour refroidir ce type de led. 

En conclusion...

Optez pour les ampoules à led classiques si vous souhaitez obtenir un effet faisceau, c'est à dire avec un angle faible et à prix modéré. Exemple ampoule gu10 48 led 30°.

Optez pour les ampoules à led classiques améliorées si vous souhaitez obtenir un éclairage uniforme sans tache, qui ne chauffe pas et donc parfait en plafond, et à prix modéré puisque ce type d'ampoule restera l'un des moins chers. Exemple gu10 48 led premium® 140° équivalent 40w ou nos ampoules VL 90 led.

Optez pour les ampoules à led SMD si vous souhaitez obtenir une puissance parfaite sur un angle large mais rappelez qu'elles chauffent plus que les 2 précedentes. Exemple ampoule led gu10 24 LEDs SMD 5050 ou nos ampoules led E27 équipées de 44, 55 et 66 LEDs SMD.

Optez pour les ampoules à led High Power si vous souhaitez obtenir un effet faisceau mais plus puissant qu'avec les led classiques, le prix sera par contre bien plus élevé en raison d'un marché mondial très faible. Exemple ampoule led gu10 3*2w High Power.

En ce qui concerne les ampoules à led équipées COB elles sont si rares qu'actuellement nous ne pouvons vous conseiller ce type de produits. Cette technologie sera plus présente sur les Spots LED extérieurs en raison d'une taille de produit plus importante. Exemple d'ampoule utilisant cette technologie : Ampoule led Par38 15w.

15°, 30°, 140°, 360°, L'ANGLE EST-IL IMPORTANT SUR UNE AMPOULE À LED ?

Naturellement, c'est une donnée essentielle qui doit guider votre achat.

Plus l'angle est faible et plus vous aurez un effet faisceau. Cet effet faisceau peut avoir un petit coté design si correctement utilisé comme le long d'un mur par exemple mais il est totalement innadapté pour un éclairage principal.

Concernant les ampoules led gu10 220v ou Mr16 led basse tension, il faut garder en mémoire qu'une ampoule halogène offre en général un angle de 38 à 50° seulement. Les ampoules à led gu10 peuvent vous offrir entre 8° et 140° d'angle et si vous souhaitez mettre des ampoules gu10 à led ou Mr16 à led en plafond dans des spots encastrables pour éclairer vos pièces à vivre, vous devez impérativement choisir des angles larges supérieurs à 90°.

Concernant les ampoules E27 ou B22 que l'on trouve le plus souvent juste suspendues par une simple douille en plafond, vous devrez privilégier un angle maximum soit un angle de 360° comme la majorité de nos ampoules car la lumière émise vers le plafond se reflète ensuite vers le bas afin de vous donner un maximum de lumière. Il existe des ampoules E27 offrant des angles de 150, 160° mais dans la pratique ce n'est pas forcément agréable pour éclairer une pièce car nous avons tous en mémoire nos anciennes ampoules incandescentes qui éclairaient bien sur 360°.

Concernant les autres ampoules, G4 ou E14 par exemple, elles sont bien souvent destinées à n'éclairer que sur une face par conséquent adaptez l'angle de votre ampoule en fonction de sa destination. Si votre ampoule G4 à led est prévue pour éclairer un plan de travail alors inutile de prendre une ampoule à 360° par contre si votre ampoule led E14 est destinée à une lampe de chevet vous devrez choisir ici aussi une ampoule offrant un éclairage à 360°. Dans le cas d'une applique de miroir de salle de bain et sachant que la lumière ne porte que vers le bas, vous devrez opter pour un angle maximum de 150° pour ne pas être aveuglé.

Conclusion : l'angle est donc une donnée primordiale dans votre éclairage si vous ne souhaitez pas avoir de surprises.

LA COULEUR D'ÉCLAIRAGE DE VOS AMPOULES À LED, BLANC, BLANC CHAUD ?

L'être humain, tout comme les plantes ou les animaux, à besoin de vivre dans un environnement lumineux agréable. L'éclairage artificiel doit donc se rapprocher au maximum de l'éclairage solaire pour que nous puissions nous épanouir sereinement néanmoins tout est plus complexe avec l'éclairage à base d'ampoules à led. 

La température de couleur pour les éclairages domestiques s'exprime en degrés Kelvin, exemple 3200°K pour un blanc chaud identique à une couleur halogène. C'est en réalité la conjonction de 2 coordonnées X et Y issues elles mêmes de 2 courbes. 
Oui, c'est assez compliqué... mais pour faire simple on s'accorde à dire que cette température de couleur doit être comprise entre 5000°K et 6500°K pour que l'éclairage s'approche au mieux de la lumière naturelle.

Nous estimons néanmoins que cette valeur de 6500°K est déjà très froide et ne correspond absolument pas à la température d'éclairage délivrée par l'astre solaire, ceci n'est que notre avis personnel. 

En réalité, la température de couleur de la lumière naturelle varie en fonction de l'heure de la journée et de la saison, l'éclairage naturel à 9h le matin en plein hiver sera totalement différent de celui obtenu à 14h en plein été d'ou une certaine complexité à annoncer un éclairage reproduisant une lumière naturelle.

Pour faire simple, voici quelques repères...

Le blanc chaud : C'est l'équivalent des éclairages traditionnels, à savoir la couleur de vos ampoules incandescentes ou halogènes. La température de couleur est comprise en général entre 2300°K et 3200°K.

Le blanc chaud léger : Création de la société V-LumTech en 2007, c'est un peu le maillon manquant entre le blanc chaud des ampoules halogènes et le blanc dit naturel que certains n'apprécient que modérément. Sa couleur est comprise entre 3500°K à 3800°K environ.

Le blanc naturel : C'est la couleur qui se rapproche le plus de l'éclairage naturel, sa couleur est en général comprise entre 4500°K et 5500°K environ.

Le blanc froid : C'est une couleur blanche dans laquelle vous avez une petite connotation de couleur bleue dans le blanc, exemple les phares au xénon, sa température de couleur est comprise entre 6500°K et 8000°K en moyenne et est totalement désagréable en utilisation domestique en éclairage principal.

Le blanc très froid : C'est un blanc encore plus froid qui s'étend d'un blanc xéon et qui atteint un blanc pratiquement bleu comme celui que l'on rencontrerait dans les grands fond marin à la limite de pénétration de la lumière sous l'eau et peut donc avoisiner les 20.000°K.

Comment faire votre choix ? Très simple...

* Si vous aimez la chaleur apportée par les éclairages incandescents ou halogènes alors optez pour du blanc chaud. 
* Si vous trouvez que le blanc chaud dénature trop les couleurs ( avis de bons nombre d'internautes ) et que vous êtes réticents à vous lancer sur des éclairages blanc, optez pour le blanc chaud léger que nous proposons sur nos ampoules à led.
* Si vous souhaitez vous rallier à l'éclairage dit naturel, c'est à dire vous éclairer avec un éclairage blanc sans qu'il ne soit froid pour autant, optez pour les ampoules à led en éclairage blanc day-light ou Joli Blanc des produits V-LumTech® de la gamme premium®.
* Si vous souhaitez apporter un peu de design dans certains de vos éclairages extérieurs, optez pour les ampoules à led blanc froid mais sachez que c'est totalement déconseillé en éclairage domestique car très désagréable. Nous n'avons d'ailleurs que très très peu d'ampoules offrant la mention blanc froid.

Pour vous donner une information complémentaire, le blanc chaud représente un volume de vente de plus en plus faible car trop de gens trouvent que cette couleur dénature trop celle de leur environnement, nous commercialisons donc de plus en plus une version dites blanc chaud léger ( soit un peu moins jaune qu'une ampoule halogène ) ou une version appelée Joli Blanc qui s'apparente à un éclairage naturel moyennement ensoleillé selon nos clients.

La cuisine et la salle de bain sont très souvent éclairées en blanc (Day-light ou Joli Blanc), les chambres sont souvent éclairéees avec des ampoules à led en blanc chaud ou en blanc chaud léger, les pièces à vivre (salon salle à manger, salle de jeux, bureau)sont souvent éclairées avec des ampoules à led en blanc chaud léger ou en joli blanc. 

Ceci étant le schéma le plus classique, libre à chacun de dissosier la couleur de chaque pièce ou au contraire de n'avoir qu'une seule couleur d'éclairage dans toute la maison. Il n'y à aucune généralité possible dans ce domaine selon notre expérience de plus de 5 ans dans la vente d'ampoules à led.

GU10 Bulbs, Halogen, Low Energy or LED Buyers Guide

In my home I have a number of "spotlight" bulbs in the GU10 and MR16 types and due to soaring energy costs I have rersearched and tested a large number of GU10 energy saving bulbs or lower wattage standard halogen bulbs.

In this guide I will share my findings in the hope it helps you make the best choice without laying out a fortune on expensive bulbs that don't do what you want.  If you find the information below useful then I would really appreciate it if you click "Yes" at the bottom so the guide remains highly visible to other Ebayers :-) 

Standard Halogen Bulbs

There is no beating the light produced by the standard halogen bulbs but at 50watts per bulb it can be very expensive to run these, particularly if your light fitting has several 50w bulbs in it !!!

For a simple way to reduce your costs by 30% consider switching to the 35w halogen equivalents which are freely available form all decent hardware & DIY stores.

In my bathroom I have switched from 3 x 50w bulbs to 3 x 35w bulbs and although they are not quite as bright, I now realise that the old bulbs were far too bright (and the 35w bulbs are more suitable anyway ! Already that has saved me 45w of power when these lights are in use !!!

Low Energy Bulbs

When it comes to normal lightbulbs, the energy saving bulbs are excellent and the technology is well developed.  For GU10's however the technology is struggling to fit into such a small unit and in my opinion doesn't work too well.

I have tested 9w and 11w low energy GU10 bulbs and concluded the following:

* The bulbs are much bigger (longer) in size than a standard GU10 bulb as it would be impossible to cram the technology into the actual size of a GU10 bulb.  This can make the bulbs difficult to fit in certain recessed spotlights and are very unsightly in surface mounted bulbs.

* The bulbs take a short while to warm up and are very dim when they first come on.  It seems to be about 30-60 seconds before they are fully bright but when they are, the brightness and way the light is diffused is as good as conventional halogen bulbs.  These are therefore useless in a hall or somewhere where you need instant lighting.

* The "colour temperature" of the light is different to standard halogen bulbs.  Standard bulbs are "warm" whereas these energy saving lights are more a daylight/cold white.  Some people may prefer this type of white light but overall I didn't like these bulbs and cannot find a use for them.

LED Light Bulbs

The potential for LED bulbs is huge and once fully developed it will save people a fortune, much more than the current energy saving technology.  These will be the future I am sure !

I have purchased and tested several different types of LED GU10 Bulbs on ebay and had mixed views of them.  For general lighting they are just not good enough, but for precise and decorative lighting they are excellent and unique.  I have therefore concluded the following:

* Most important is the colour temperature.  Some of these bulbs can give off an extremely cold blue light, some are "daylight white" which again is quite cold and some are warm white.  Eitherway I have not seen an LED bulb that is as "warm" as the conventional Halogen bulbs so make sure you buy the correct colour temperatures.  By default the cheap ones which do not list a colour are a very cold light.

* The way light is diffused from an LED bulb is a precise spot rather than general lighting.  This makes them perfect to light pictures on a wall, a display cabinet, or to compliment existing lighting, but as the only source of light they just don't cut it compared to conventional halogen bulbs.

* The type and number of LED's is very significant.  Newer bulbs have 60 or 78 standard LED's or the much newer bulbs have 3 superbright LED's which seem to be about the same brightness as 60 conventional LED's.  Some smaller bulbs are anything from 9 LED's to 48 LED's.  I have found that the best bulbs are the 3 superbright LED's but again they are only really suitable where a precise spotlight is needed.

* Sellers claim these are anything between 35w and 50w of light but what isn't clear is how precise the light is.  Using the bulbs I have tested I would say they are nearer to 15-25w equivalent of light and a very precise spotlight.  They shouldn't really be compared to conventional bulbs.

* LED bulbs are pretty much the same physical size as standard GU10 bulbs.  The ones containing a small number of superbright LED's are flatter on the front, whereas those bulbs with older style LED's protrude at the front.  This is fine unless your light fitting is recessed and sometimes the protruding LED's get in the way of the fitment.

* Heat output from these bulbs is very very low.  After being on for hours you can handle them and they are just warm (compared to halogen bulbs which are burning hot after just a few minutes) so they are much safer in certain fittings

* Electrical usage - these are super efficient and use between 0.8w and 4w per bulb (the whole GU10 bulb not just per LED) so they cost extremely little to run. 

* Life expectancy is outstanding on these bulbs - 50,000 hours, so 10 years of normal use !!!

I have used these LED bulbs as ambient lighting in my living room which provide a nice background light to pictures and a display cabinet and create a nice low light without costing hardly anything to run.  A friend has used a number of 48 coloured LED bulbs (Blue, Red, Green) bulbs as ambient lighting in his restaurant and they make nice subtle colours (again with very little operating cost).

In summary - the technology for GU10 low energy bulbs is just not good enough yet for mainstream use, however the LED bulbs provide excellent and very cheap ambient lighting and operate at much lower temperatures.  This technology will be the future I am sure.

I hope this helps and prevents you spending a lot of money (as I have done) on bulbs which are not nessecarily suitable for what you want.

In contrast to existing light fittings which constitute a separate light fitting and a separately purchased bulb, LED light fittings are designed to replace the whole existing light fitting including the bulb, and the bulb is not changeable, you simply replace the whole unit when it expires, but they often usually come with 10 year guarantees!

There are now High Performance downlights, uplighters and other light fittings as direct replacements for many existing fittings which allows you to reduce your energy consumption without compromising on the light output of standard lighting. Which Low Voltage LED and Which Driver?

LED light bulbs are now available in a range of low voltage replacements, and our range is constantly expanding as new products become available.  We currently offer  LED bulbs in MR16, MR11 and G4 capsules and care should be taken in the choice of power supplies for these bulbs.  A lighting transformer (also known as a Driver, or with LED bulbs, they are called LED Drivers) is required to reduce the voltage from 240 volts to around 12 volts.  Standard transformers operate with a minimum load  requirement usually around 20W, and there is normally one transformer per bulb. Therefore a traditional transformer will not start if an LED bulb is fitted because LEDs operate on less than 20W.  The transformers will either need to be replaced with LED Drivers which operate down to zero watts or connect several lamps into one transformer to meet the minimum load requirement.

The 0-10W LED Driver we offer is ideal to drive only one bulb or eg 3 x 3W LED bulbs.  We highly recommend that LED bulbs and halogen bulbs are not run on the same circuit.

The 0-10W LED Drivers replace your existing transformers for individual or very small clusters of bulbs, and the 0-30W LED Driver can feed multiple LED Bulbs.  Both are available here.

GU10 and MR16 bulbs are the most common light bulbs in the UK, and can be found in virtually all homes and businesses. The common problems of high power usage, constant need for replacements and high heat output mean that the new LED technology is a perfect replacement for the bulbs. In fact, the only consequences of LED GU10 bulbs are the massive financial savings and significantly reducing your carbon footprint!

The choices when it comes to energy saving GU10 bulbs needs to take into account a number of factors including:

• Life of the bulb

• Energy saving achieved

• Size of the bulb

• Dimmable or not dimmable

• Colour of the light output*

*Light output is usually defined in one of three colours, Warm White, Cool White and Daylight. Warm White is usually used in domestic capacities and is the normal colour associated with a standard halogen bulb. Cool White is a cooler white colour often associated with fluorescent tubes in offices or retail environments. Daylight colour is a very white light, almost with a tinge of blue to it, and provides the very best colour rendering.

By far the best energy saving GU10 bulb available and the choice for the future of GU10s is the GU10 LED bulb.   The GU10 LEDs are up to 90% more efficient than standard halogen GU10 bulbs, so a 5W bulb can provide up to 50W of light output. The lifespan is up to an amazing 50,000 hours and put into perspective, at 4 hours use per day, this equates to well over 30 years of use!!

Although there are few dimmable versions of these (the Philips version is available here) the high powered GU10 LED bulb is recommended by Energy Bulbs as the GU10 bulb of choice. The new generation of high performance LED bulbs come as either single or clusters of LEDs within the bulbs to provide general light for the first time from LED lights.

An example of this is the high performance GU10 LED light bulb which contains 3 x 1W LEDs, placed precisely in one light bulb with each LED generating a very high level of lighting.

The technology is moving forward so that high powered LED bulbs are now available in candle bulbs and also golf ball bulbs. However, the advent of LEDs in classic or GLS bulbs is very exciting, and soon 60W and 100W replacement LED bulbs will be available with all of the benefits associated with LEDs and the light output we are all familiar with.

High performance LEDs will soon become very versatile and will meet the needs of any light fitting in any room within the home without compromising from traditional light bulbs. This will be with all of the benefits we now know are associated with LED lighting.

The operational life of a LED lamp (up to 50,000 hours) is in contrast to the average life of an incandescent bulb, which is approximately 1000-2000 hours. For lights in very inaccessible places, using LEDs would eliminate the need for difficult bulb replacement for many years. It really is simply a case of fit-and-forget!

The cost of LED lights compared to traditional incandescent bulbs. 

The main advantage of LED lighting is clearly in the energy savings (and therefore money savings!) which are achieved. The way in which LEDs achieve this energy saving is by the amount of heat they create. Traditional incandescent bulbs lose up to 90% of their power on creating heat which is wasted. LEDs save on power consumption by generating considerably less wasteful heat.

The cost savings are considerably higher than just the energy saving if you consider the cost of 30-50 replacement incandescent bulbs. With LEDs, there would be no replacement bulbs required for many years and they often pay for themselves in energy savings in less than a year of use.

For commercial premises like retail outlets, hotels and offices, there is a significant maintenance cost in replacing light bulbs which can be virtually eliminated. This is an important point, especially where there are a large number of bulbs in place. Eliminating the constant need to replace bulbs by changing to LED options can be very attractive, and after the cost of replacing halogen bulbs is taken into account, LED bulbs really are the ultimate energy saving bulb.

Compact Size

As the LEDs which provide the light in the bulbs are so small, the high powered LED bulbs are direct replacements for halogen bulbs in terms of size. This gives LEDs a distinct advantage over energy saving CFL bulbs which are generally larger than their halogen counterparts, and can look unsightly in some elegant light fittings. 

When it comes to display or accent lighting, the compact size of LED light bulbs, as well as the availability of coloured lighting provides for very versatile lighting which is appropriate everywhere from retail displays to Christmas lights in homes.

Practical Advantages

LED light bulbs represent the safest form of lighting and even when they go wrong, they are still not dangerous to be around, unlike incandescent bulbs which generate lots of heat when in use and have even been known to explode when things go wrong.

LEDs are not strictly light bulbs, they are an electrical circuit (semiconductor). They do not contain filaments and therefore are not prone to the usual light bulb problems associated with incandescent bulbs.

LEDs will invariably last 30 to 50 times longer than standard incandescent bulbs, whilst using an average of 90% less power which makes them ideal for places where lights are switched on for lengthy periods of time. More durable with no fragile parts, the bulbs generate virtually no heat and are therefore safe in almost all areas around the home. The cool running temperature of LEDs could reduce air conditioning costs, and the fire risk associated with overheating incandescent bulbs is not an issue with LEDs.

As LEDs are very strong and durable, they are able to endure vibration so they are appropriate for use in many places where existing bulbs are subject to regular failure, eg around heavy machinery. They are also able to tolerate low temperatures and therefore allow more flexibility in their use.

LEDs do not produce any UV (ultraviolet) or IR (infra red) radiation, and can thus be used to light paintings or other precious artefacts without causing any fading. Unlike CFL or fluorescent lighting, LED lighting also does not flicker, and this reduces eye strain and other problems associated with flickering lighting solutions.
